ANTARCTICA ORIGINAL is a true classic on the Brazilian beer market.
The story of ORIGINAL began in 1906, when the young German immigrant Henrique Thielen founded the Cervejaria Adriática in Ponta Grossa in the state of Paraná using equipment he had brought with him from his home country. He called his pilsner beer ORIGINAL. In 1943, the Thielen family sold the brewery to Cia. Antarctica Paulista (manufacturer of the traditional "Antarctica" brand). It was then that the beer was given the name it still bears today: ANTARCTICA ORIGINAL.
The label still retains some original elements, such as the yellow background, the letter typography and the blue diamond with the word "Pilsen".
