Barceló Gran Añejo is a perfect blend of the finest, aged Dominican rums aged for at least five years in former bourbon oak barrels.
Through careful ripening, this rum gets its unique bouquet and radiant amber color.
The nose is full of aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla, caramelized nuts and tobacco, accompanied by delicate mocha and cream.
The taste of Barceló Gran Añejo is very distinctive and varied with notes of sugar cane, coffee beans, nuts, caramel and a hint of citrus. Its finish is long and spicy.
A very balanced and delicious rum, ideal for pure enjoyment or for the preparation of exceptional cocktails.
On January 10, 1929 began the beginning of a long career for a Majorcan 25-year-old man, called Julián Barceló. That day he left Mallorca, his home island, for the Dominican Republic. In Santo Domingo he began the great adventure of founding his own liquor company.
Barceló and Co was founded in 1930. It all started with a heavy start, so Julián used his old Ford pickup truck to drive every corner of the country to promote his quality rums, rewarding his efforts over time.
After his death, his nephew, Miguel Barceló, led the company, which has continuously led to more growth and has become one of the cornerstones of the Dominican economy.
