1846 wurde der Gründer Julius Maggi in der Schweiz geboren und mit 23 übernahm er die Mühle seines Vaters.
Dies war der Grundstein für das Weltunternehmen MAGGI. Julius Maggi wollte die Mangelernährung bekämpfen und nährstoffreiche, presiwerte Lebensmittel zur Verfügung stellen. Bis heute wird das schon große Sortiment immer wieder erweitert und verbessert.
