Product information "YUCA LOCA Gekochte Maniok - Mandioca Cozida 500g"
Cooked cassava from Brazil, pack 500g
Also known as yuca, cassava, macaxeira or aipim, cassava is most commonly prepared as a starch (tapioca) or as a vegetable. Cut into pieces and fried, * aipim frito * is sold almost everywhere as a Brazilian alternative to the usual potato chips. The vegetables can also be eaten cooked or used as an ingredient in cakes, puddings and pastries.
After the harvest, the cassava roots are immediately washed, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces by YUCA LOCA. They are then slowly cooked in their own juice at low, constant temperatures. With this process, the cassava root hardly loses any of its nutrients, so it is free of preservatives and can be kept for a long time without refrigeration.

Manufacturer "YUCA LOCA"
My name is Peter Kenning and I grew up in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Yuca has become an integral part of the local cuisine here. It is part of everyday life and should not be missing from any really good meal. I have lived in Germany since 2008 and work in the food industry here. Food is simply my passion. For me, the best cure for homesickness is a delicious portion of yuca fries. However, that is easier said than done. In most cases, the Yuca available in Germany comes from Nigeria or Thailand and is covered with a thin layer of wax to make it durable. The taste experience simply cannot be compared. So I've made it my mission to bring my Yuca, as I know it from my Bolivian homeland, to Europe in order to conquer the food scene and the hearts of connoisseurs. Try a piece of South American culture and convince yourself of the uniquely delicious taste of the yuca.
