Mate is an infusion based on yerba mate that is very popular in some South American countries, such as Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil. Currently, Taragüi is the leading brand in Argentina, with a production of more than 56,000 tons of yerba mate per year.Since its creation in 1940, the Taragüi yerba mate has been cultivated,harvested and prepared by true experts.

Its production is carried out at the Las Marías Establishment, which covers more than 30,000 hectares in the Argentine province of Corrientes. The consumption of mate goes back to the native Guarani, the aborigines who lived in certain regions of South America. Known for eliminating fatigue and promoting a good mood, yerba mate was also consumed for therapeutic purposes.
