Dulce de leche (also known as doce de leite, manjar, arequipe and cajeta) is popular throughout Latin America. It is a thick golden cream that adds a luscious sweetness to everything it touches. Traditional dulce de leche is made by slowly reducing milk and sugar to a creamy, dark sauce.
