Frozen Shipping

We are pleased to offer frozen specialties in addition to our classic product range. These products are exceptionally fresh, delicious, and very easy to prepare! While shipping frozen products is a bit more complex, we have found a simple and reliable solution for our customers. 

How does shipping frozen products work? 

SHIPPING REGIONS 
Currently, we can only ship our frozen items via standard shipping within Germany. The terms and conditions described below apply. We ship international orders exclusively through a specialized carrier for frozen food transport. Please contact us directly by phone or email so we can provide you with a customized quote. 

PACKAGING 
We ship your goods in well-insulated packaging, guaranteeing that the cold chain is maintained. We pack your goods in a specially insulated box up to 3 cm thick. These boxes also contain dry ice blocks (-75°C) in protective packaging. The temperature inside the box is comparable to that of a standard freezer. Of course, we always adjust the number of cooling elements to the quantity ordered and the ambient temperature. The size of the shipping carton is also carefully selected by your personal order picker. For mixed goods, we ensure a separate compartment for frozen and non-frozen products. 

DRY ICE 
The frozen products are kept cool with dry ice. This keeps the products frozen during shipping and delivery and evaporates without leaving any residue after you open your package. All that remains is a coated paper bag, which you can dispose of in your recycling bin. 

SHIPPING METHOD 
Frozen items are shipped via express delivery with next-day delivery. Depending on the quantity of goods ordered, we ship by parcel service or freight carrier. Exceptions may be made if the most economical solution is required. Our team will work with you to find the best solution. 

SHIPPING COSTS 
Since this shipping method incurs additional costs, a frozen food surcharge applies on top of the standard shipping costs. This surcharge is €25 in addition to the standard shipping costs. 

SHIPPING TIME 
To ensure timely delivery, we ship frozen food orders only from Monday to Wednesday. Please take this into account when planning your order.
